As we have often pointed out, here at the Objective Believer, some Christians tend to associate more with the devil, sin, and what Adam did to them, than with God, righteousness, and what Christ did to them. As you can see here, Justin is obviously referring to the former self, whereas Osteen is likely referring to the New Man in Christ, able to do all things through Christ, blessed with all blessings, more than a conqueror, seated with Jesus, etc.
I don't know if Justin knows this and is choosing not to make the distinction, or if he is ignorant of it---- but again . . . It's about clarity. If you want to emphasize your union with Adam more than Christ, see things through that lens whenever references are made about you and others---that's your choice. We just want to clarify what's going on so that people see the distinction in worldviews and can then make up their own minds as to whether to be onboard with it.
As far as Justin's Scripture reference---It's correct. God gave us a new heart and took away the old one.
